Leads, supports and monitors activities of employees directly engaged in the fabrication and assembly of window & door products and/or components in a manner that meets the company’s cost, quality, productivity and profit goals
Maintains production schedule and other assigned work within allotted time by leading personnel, monitoring progress and resolving problems
Monitors quality throughout the process for adherence to company standards and facilitates timely correction/rework of rejected products and/or components
Ensures product quality and maximum machine uptime by monitoring & directing production line personnel responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of equipment
Works closely and in a cooperative manner with management and supervisors of other production lines & functional departments to help meet the company’s goals
Assists management and supervisors in leading training of new employees on assigned daily job functions to be performed and in safe use and operation of tools and equipment
Leads and maintains daily safe, clean work environment by training and leading personnel on established systems, policies, and procedures, especially as it relates to the company’s safety and security
Notifies the maintenance department and plant manager of any need for adjustment or repair of equipment and cooperates in correcting deficiencies and affecting repairs
Provides management and supervisors with information regarding progress against production plan as required
Performs other related duties as required
Minimum of one (1) year experience in window & door manufacturing or related field
Previous supervisory experience preferred but not required
Preferred Skills Required:
Possesses the ability to understand and communicate clearly in English & Spanish
Demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail
Ability to lead collaboration with employees and a wide range of people from other departments and functional areas within the organization
Shift Requirements:
Monday - Friday 5:00pm - 1:30am (8 Hours)
