Twining Consulting Inc., dba RADCO, a nationally recognized Design Approval & Plan Inspection Agency (DAPIA) for HUD manufactured homes and State modular program industrialized buildings, is seeking a part time Admin/Plan Reviewer. It is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to make an immediate impact and for a candidate looking to grow within the organization.
 
Responsibilities include:
  • Perform multi-discipline plan reviews of model plan residential and commercial buildings under governing codes.
  • Work closely with senior plan reviewers, inspectors, and management to ensure all plans meet the necessary standards before approval.
  • Communicate deviations verbally or in writing and serve as a point of contact for clients and internal teams.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding the approval process and deadlines.
  • Provide consultations on regulatory and code issues.
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, inspections, and plan review sessions. Track and update deadlines to ensure timely reviews and approvals.
  • Input data related to building plans and inspections. Prepare reports, correspondence, and other documents as needed.
  • Handle general office tasks such as answering phones, managing office supplies, and assisting with billing and invoicing when required.
Required Competencies:
  • BS in engineering or architecture preferred
  • 1 - 5 years of recent experience in plan checking in both residential and commercial.
  • ICC plan examiner certification in one or more categories.
  • Knowledge of wood, concrete, and steel construction codes such as NDA, ASCE, ACI, AISC.
  • Experience in administrative support, office management, or a related field.
  • Good communication skills (verbal & written). Work with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Experienced in computer software programs such as Office, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle several projects at a time.
