POSITION: Aggregates Sales Representative

 

LOCATION: Northern Utah

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Area Manager, Aggregates Sales and Customer Service, this candidate will represent Geneva Rock Products, Inc. and the Sand and Gravel Division in a professional and effective manner. Acting as a primary face of the company, the Aggregates Sales Representative will balance a large set of diverse responsibilities and work with a wide array of customers with a focus on the ultimate success of the company.  

 

DUTIES: 

 

  • Visualize, define, plan, communicate and implement the Clyde Companies Inc. (CCI) vision and core values.  
  • Maintain and service customer base, solicit new business, establish and foster good relations with contractors, city and state purchasing employees and other customers.   
  • Describe, present and sell company products.   
  • Build strong and lasting relationships with new and existing customers. 
  • Research project requirements and specifications.  
  • Investigate new markets and products and proactively work to broaden sales prospects in existing and potential sales areas 
  • Work closely with production managers to determine customer requirements and coordinate product availability.   
  • Establish and quote prices for products and services.   
  • Monitor customer job progress and accuracy of account.   
  • Perform credit collection on past due accounts for assigned customers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical sales, marketing, or related field or equivalent experience. 
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills 
  • Detailed knowledge of sand and gravel products preferred.  
  • A valid Drivers License and excellent safety record 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/SAFETY:  

  • Sitting 60 % of time 
  • Standing:  20 % of time 
  • Driving: 20% of time 
  • Weight Lifted: Must frequently be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 
  • Physical Movement: May be required to walk over uneven ground on customer jobsites or other Geneva Rock worksites  
  • Speaking / Listening: Needs to be able to communicate well with customers, dispatch, supervision, receive and follow instructions, and understand safety requirements.
