Position Overview: The Application Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's software applications. This role ensures that all applications align with business objectives and operate efficiently. The Application Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, enhance system performance, and support innovation within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Application Oversight:
   • Manage the lifecycle of enterprise applications, from acquisition and deployment to decommissioning.
   • Ensure application performance, reliability, and security meet company standards.
   • Develop and enforce governance frameworks and best practices for application management.
2. Business Collaboration:
   • Partner with business units to understand application needs and ensure they align with organizational goals.
   • Serve as a liaison between IT and other departments to drive successful project execution.
   • Facilitate stakeholder meetings to review project progress and address concerns.
3. Process Optimization:
   • Implement standardized methodologies to enhance efficiency in application management.
   • Monitor application performance metrics and drive continuous improvement based on data insights.
   • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal security policies.
4. Technical Leadership:
   • Provide expertise in evaluating, selecting, and implementing new applications and technologies.
   • Oversee troubleshooting efforts to resolve technical issues and minimize system downtime.
   • Work closely with IT teams to integrate and optimize enterprise applications.
5. Vendor and Budget Management:
   • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements for enterprise applications.
   • Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements or alternative solutions.
   • Assist in budgeting for application management, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource allocation.

 Qualifications:Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) are a plus.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in IT application management, system administration, or related roles.
• Proven experience overseeing enterprise applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of application lifecycle management and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Experience with vendor negotiation and contract management.
