Overall Purpose of the Job
Global product line technical position supporting sales and operations for projects involving engineered Cementing Technologies including coordination of all available resources domestically and internationally.
Key Activities and Accountabilities
- Learn about all equipment in the Cementing Technologies product line, including how to build, test, and how the equipment is run. May include spending time in the shop observing tools being built and/or getting out to the rig to watch jobs being run.
- Provide technical support to senior applications engineers, sales and operations across Cementing Technologies product line, including computer simulations, design and job calculations, system layouts, procedures, etc.
- Work with current and prospective sales representatives and customers to establish needs, specifications, and possible product modifications for future sales.
- Review customer requirements, specifications and make recommendations for technical and commercial proposals.
- Provide technical services to customers relating to use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
- Advise sales personnel, customers, and potential customers on the technical issues that affect the application of related services and products.
- Upon receipt of purchase order, assist with preparation of documentation for and participate in meetings concerning turnover of a proposal to a project.
- Informs customers of technological improvements and of the advantages to the customer of using the company’s products.
- Follow up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist senior applications engineers and sales with customer complaints and issues.
- Actively adhere to the Code of Conduct and Anti-Bribery policies, procedures, and processes to ensure the highest ethical standards are maintained and exposure to liability or risk to Expo’s reputation is minimized. If necessary, report possible violations or conflicts of interest.
- Actively adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable Quality policies, procedures, processes and systems. Take an active part in quality improvement processes. Identify and report any deficiencies to supervisor and obtain authorization for any deviations from standard procedures.
- Actively comply with all applicable Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and processes. Promote HSE awareness; take responsibility and be accountable for own safety and safety of others. Demonstrate the personal application of HSE procedures in daily performance and always follow the 10 Safety House Rules.
- Ensure objectives set under Employee Development Plan are met.
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Similar Study.
- 5-10 years experience in Oil & Gas.
- Knowledge of computer aided engineering software (ex. Solidworks or equivalent).
- Must be proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio is a plus.
- Satisfactory pre-employment screening results (ie drug/alcohol test and background check).
