At Mill Creek Residential the Area Construction Manager (ACM) is responsible for the oversight, staffing, safe and proper execution of the vertical home construction activities for various projects in the Division. The position reports to the Vice President of Construction and provides the leadership to the Division’s Field Managers in order to meet or exceed project goals related to the delivery of 100% completed homes. The Area Construction Manager is expected to lead their team to maintain and adhere to project construction schedules, budgets, quality control and safety practices.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Assume a leadership role in overseeing and enforcing adherence to all construction documents.
Work collaboratively with other Division leadership with value engineering efforts for the project
Prepare and process reports and documents in a timely and complete manner
Prepare, maintaining and provide timely updates relating to project schedule and budgets
Oversight of construction schedules to ensure scheduling accuracy and timely payment approvals to suppliers and subcontractors
Work with the Owner third party management company in transitioning the project from construction to the operations team.
Address all project completion and warranty issues and prepare a final close-out documentation package as required
Establish and maintain professional relationships with office personnel, subcontractors, vendors and governmental agencies.
Comply with all MCRT Policies, Procedures and Safety Programs
Meet project budget and GMP timelines

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or related field, preferred.
Minimum of three years’ experience building and managing high-volume single-family home construction specific to field operations.
OSHA, General Contracting and other industry specific licensing preferred.
Skills/Specialized Knowledge
In-depth knowledge of construction practices and procedures, scheduling and safety standards and programs.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and experience with industry specific scheduling platforms.
Strong organization, time-management, problem resolution and personnel management/oversight skills
Effective with communicating and working collaboratively with Trades, Local and State Inspection Agencies.
Ability to communicate well in English both written and verbally.
