Armed Security Officer

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday- Tuesday (22 hours per week)

Excelsior Defense is seeking an experienced front desk Armed Security Officer, to serve as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel. You will be responsible for monitoring building access, assisting with visitor sign-ins, maintaining security logs, and ensuring a professional and safe environment.

Key Duties:

• Stationed at the main security desk for the duration of your shift (starting promptly at 8:00 AM).

• Monitor building access and ensure all exterior doors remain secure.

• Manage the sign-in and screening of all visitors and vendors; verify appointments before allowing access.

• Operate the building's CCTV system using a multi-camera display to monitor all entrances.

• Accept and log package and food deliveries; notify employees via Outlook or phone.

• Process subpoenas and notify Heritage's legal department as needed.

• Submit Daily Activity Logs and Field Incident Reports through Excelsior's online reporting system.

• Maintain email communications via Outlook and stay reachable by phone and Microsoft Teams while on duty.

What We're Looking For:

✅ Strong computer skills (Outlook, web-based forms, basic software troubleshooting).
✅ Experience with access control procedures and CCTV systems.
✅ Valid Florida Class D & Class G Security License.
✅ Clean professional appearance and excellent customer service skills.
✅ Reliability - Must live within 20 miles of Tampa, FL
✅ Comfortable working independently and managing a secure desk.
✅ Prior experience in office building security is a major plus!
