Excelsior Defense, Inc., a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned security firm with more than 25 years of proven experience, is currently hiring an Armed Security Officer for one established post in the downtown St. Petersburg area.

This is a part time position is for a Museum (Saturday-Sunday)

• Hours: 9:30AM - 5:30 PM

• Pay Rate: $20.00/ HR

Position Requirements:

• Must hold an active Florida Class D and Class G license

• Minimum 1 year of armed security or related experience preferred

• Must be professional, punctual, and able to work independently

• Strong communication and incident-reporting skills

• Must pass a background check and drug screening

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain security and access control at both high-profile site

• Deter criminal activity, ensure life safety, and respond to incidents professionally

• Patrol interior and exterior premises as needed

• Monitor entry/exit activity and support employees and clients as needed

• Report and document all incidents, irregularities, and daily activity

Upon offer of employment, you will be required to submit a drug screening, along with a background run.
