Summary/Objective

The Asphalt Foreman will directly supervise, coordinate and schedule daily activities of a paving crew. High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum 5+ years experience supervising a paving crew of employees is required. 

Essential Functions

  • Blueprint and specification reading.
  • Keep daily field records. 
  • Manage workers and ensure quality work is performed
  • Prepare employee timesheets
  • Inspects work for compliance with specifications and safety requirements.  Conduct weekly jobsite safety meetings.
  • Supervising and coordinating the activities of construction workers on a job site.
  • Overseeing the execution of work plans, coordination of trades, and monitoring safety compliance.
  • Ensuring the project adheres to timelines and quality standards.
  • Coordinating material deliveries and communicating with project managers and stakeholders.
  • Manage conflicts or problems that may arise on the jobs
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines
Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  The employee is required to use proper personal protection equipment. Employee must also comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements
