Assistant Controller

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strong understanding of accounting process, month end close, and financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet, income statement, and projections for multiple different entities
  • Manage all aspects of the general ledger
  • Oversee treasury administration including cash management and forecasting
  • Manage bank draws and payment of invoices
  • Manage the annual audit process
  • Manage home building insurance requirements and annual insurance audits
  • Projects assigned by CFO or Senior Management
  • General understanding of payroll and payroll reporting
  • Manage the tax process for all tax returns that are prepared by our outside CPA firm
REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • CPA required
  • 5+ years experience in accounting, preferably in home building
  • QuickBooks and Brix software experience a plus
  • Strong technical, analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage several companies
