JOB MISSION

Pacific Lifestyle Homes is seeking a dedicated Assistant Superintendent to join our team, supporting construction site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring quality standards to help achieve our homebuilding objectives. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Reporting to the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent will play a vital role in supporting the future success of Pacific Lifestyle Homes through effective site management and teamwork.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

We have a general work schedule of 8:00am – 5:00pm. Our dress code and appearance policy reflect our commitment to professionalism and our dedication to maintaining a premier standard as a homebuilder.

Requirements

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to Learn Systems and Processes: Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and adopt company systems and processes, ensuring adherence to construction protocols and contributing to a smooth workflow. Actively seek opportunities for improvement and efficiency within assigned tasks.
  • Basic Use of Tools: Utilize basic construction tools proficiently to assist with on-site tasks and support the construction team. Follow safety guidelines for tool usage and ensure tools are maintained in good working condition.
  • Communication with Superintendents: Maintain open and consistent communication with Superintendents regarding project progress, any issues on-site, and task completion. Provide regular updates to ensure alignment on daily objectives and project timelines.
  • Driving Between Job Sites: Travel between job sites as needed to support various construction projects, ensuring flexibility and efficiency in assisting different teams. Adhere to all company policies regarding vehicle use and maintain punctuality when traveling between locations.
  • Job Site Cleanliness: Prioritize job site cleanliness and organization by maintaining clear and safe workspaces, ensuring materials and tools are stored properly, and performing regular clean-ups to support a productive environment.
  • Trash Pick-up: Perform regular trash pick-up on job sites to ensure they remain organized and hazard-free. Dispose of waste responsibly in designated areas, contributing to overall site safety and appearance.
  • Organization and Time Management: Manage time effectively to complete tasks within set deadlines, balancing multiple responsibilities across job sites. Use organizational skills to plan and execute daily objectives efficiently.
  • Use of Checklist for Task Completion: Follow checklists to ensure all assigned tasks are completed thoroughly and according to specifications. Use checklists as a guide for quality assurance, confirming each step is addressed before moving on to the next.
  • Use of Outlook for Email: Utilize Outlook to communicate with the team, receiving and responding to emails from Superintendents, managers, and other team members. Ensure timely responses and maintain a professional tone in all correspondence.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Genuine interest in residential new home construction and a commitment to learning the industry
  • Strong customer service skills with a team-oriented approach
  • Effective verbal communication skills for building rapport with clients and collaborating with team members
  • Reliable vehicle required for travel within the area (vehicle allowance provided)
  • Proven history of a strong work ethic, integrity, and reliability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for daily reporting and communication
  • Comfortable and proficient in using a smartphone for work-related tasks and communication
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and contractors to achieve common goals
  • Demonstrated self-direction and motivation, with the ability to work independently when needed
  • Strong organizational skills and a high level of drive to meet and exceed performance goals

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel is required in the Metro Area.
