Job Overview

Hass Co LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Auger Boring - Pilot Tube Operator. The preferred candidate will have experience/training to operate auger boring machines, and/or tunnel boring machines, and/or earth-moving machines.

• Skillful, safe and competent operation of machines, including earth-moving machines.
• Capable of aligning and installing bores/pilot tubes to precise tolerances and at times, in challenging conditions.
• Ability to communicate with the Foreman, Field Superintendent and/or Director of
• Operations regarding the progress of the work and any concerns that may arise as to the successful completion of the current project(s).
• Ability to foresee and take immediate action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and / or falling objects.

• Required:
  • Experience with auger boring and/or, pilot tube methods, and/or tunnel boring machines.
  • Knowledge of safe pit/trench construction methods, the requirements/regulations of a safe pit/trench and working in safe project/work environment. 
  • Ability to communicate and work well with fellow crew members and others involved in any given project, which includes but is not limited to treating others respectfully.
  • Ability to think ahead and 'trouble-shoot' to avoid potential job-site stumbling blocks
  • Possess a positive, goal-oriented attitude.
  • Demonstrate a positive work ethic and style.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to different project sites (when and if applicable)
• Education and Experience:
  • 2-3 years of verifiable and relevant experience.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass drug tests and background checks.
• Preferred Experience:
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
