Job Summary


As a geotechnical lab technician, you will be playing a critical role in analyzing soil, rocks, and groundwater samples collected from field investigations.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities

  • Communicating test status and results to Lab Supervisor and/or Department Manager
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Adhering to deadlines
  • Ability to be flexible during peak times
  • Promoting a safe work environment and maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Assisting with AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) proficiency testing as required
  • Great attention to detail is required
  • Reporting any issues to the supervisor/manager
  • Any other task requested by the supervisor/ managerΒ 


Job Skills & Requirements

  • Love and enjoy working indoors.
  • Geology background preferred but it I not required.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Always adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures
  • Understanding of the importance of QC (Quality Control) in the laboratory.
  • Must be a self-starter, reliable, and come with a good and humble attitude
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills such as Word and Excel.
  • Basic Math knowledge.
  • Clean MVR, background, and drug screening.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager
