Murray, UT location.

The individual selected to fill this dynamic role will be to educate and transition Beacon’s new and existing customers to Beacon Building Product's e-commerce platform, Beacon Pro+. This will be achieved by establishing customer relationships and developing customer technology capabilities by influencing and demonstrating the benefits of online ordering and estimating to customers.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Help drive customer utilization and adoption of Beacon’s e-commerce software platforms
  • Provide on-site customer and employee training to enhance capabilities.
  • Support marketing team in developing and maintaining new and existing marketing channels
  • Support local sales staff/ride-a-longs each week as needed
  • Become the resident expert on our suite of technology offerings
  • Drive change that enables the customer to develop and grow their business more efficiently
  • Develop the e-commerce capabilities of internal sales employees and branch staff using an e-commerce certification program
  • Setup reoccurring order templates for customers to use on an ongoing basis
  • Employ consultative selling and establish a trusted advisor relationship to determine the customer’s needs, create engagement, alignment, desire, and acceptance of technology platforms

 

Qualifications

  • A degree in Marketing, Communication or related field is preferred, this can be substituted for 3 to 5 years of directly related experience.
  • One-year experience using E-Commerce Platforms at the “End User Level”
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
  • Ability to use technology and common software and web applications, including MS Office
  • Must have a high comfort level with technology
  • Preferred candidate will have working knowledge of SalesForce
