Job summary
Responsible for overseeing all operations and personnel at a designated branch location. Key responsibilities include inventory management, order fulfillment and delivery, staff supervision, and ensuring exceptional customer service in alignment with company standards and goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with inside and outside sales teams to meet customer needs while ensuring adherence to proper ordering and inventory control procedures.
- Manage all branch employees by setting clear job expectations, conducting performance reviews, addressing staffing needs, maintaining accurate time records, and resolving performance issues as needed.
- Ensure the branch facility, including vehicles, is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Accurately and efficiently process inventory transactions using the company's computer systems.
- Receive, inspect, and stock inventory with attention to accuracy and quality standards.
- Oversee order fulfillment, ensuring products are pulled, packed, and delivered in accordance with company procedures and customer specifications.
- Provide prompt, professional service to walk-in customers, maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a warehouse or retail/store environment.
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations, processes, and best practices.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and related computer software.
- Experience with industrial supply order entry, processing, and fulfillment.
- Completion of at least 2 years of post-secondary education (college or technical training preferred).
Required Qualifications:
- Proven ability to effectively lead a team and achieve operational productivity goals.
- Hands-on warehouse experience in a similar distribution or supply environment.
- Capability and proper qualifications to perform all branch roles as needed, including delivery driving and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) operations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, and lift for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift, with scheduled breaks.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient in operating a computer keyboard and navigating data on a screen.
- Ability to safely and legally operate a delivery truck, including loading and unloading orders with or without assistance.
