Job Overview:
NSC is seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Lead to spearhead our nationwide growth strategy in the commercial sports construction market. In this leadership role, you will oversee all business development efforts, nurture strategic partnerships, drive revenue growth through new and existing channels, and collaborate with executive leadership to execute on company goals.

Ideal candidates will bring a proven background in B2B business development or sales leadership within the construction, sports facilities, or related industries. Strong relationship-building, contract negotiation, and strategic thinking skills are essential.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Lead the company's national business development strategy, identifying new market opportunities and building strong client relationships.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key decision-makers (architects, contractors, developers, municipalities, athletic organizations).
  • Oversee the Business Development department and collaborate cross-functionally with Estimating, Operations, and Executive teams.
  • Manage and execute Co-Op contracts and pricing strategies (directly or through outsourced consulting partners).
  • Oversee NSC's participation at trade shows, industry events, and conferences to promote brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Develop and maintain CRM data for tracking leads, opportunities, and customer engagement.
  • Support proposal and RFP preparation, contract review, and negotiations with new and existing clients.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team and EOSοΏ½ framework to align business development activities with strategic company goals.
  • Participate in weekly EOS Level 10 meetings and fully engage with the company's Vision/Traction Organizer (VTO).
  • Proactively stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market shifts.
  • Travel as needed to meet clients and attend project sites nationwide.

Qualifications:
  • Preferred or equivalent to Β 7+ years of experience in business development, sales leadership, or related roles in construction, sports facility, architecture, engineering, or commercial services sectors.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving B2B revenue growth and cultivating long-term partnerships.
  • Strong experience in contract negotiation and client relationship management.
  • Familiarity with Co-Op contracts, public/private project structures, and national accounts is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative spirit aligned with NSC's EOS principles.
  • Ability to travel nationally as needed.
  • Local candidates to Saint Louis, MO area are preferred, but not required.
  • Willingness to complete onboarding training including reading EOS books: Traction and Get a Grip.
