Job Overview
Dyson Technical Solutions is seeking motivated individuals to join our expanding team as Cable Installation Technicians. Whether you're an experienced low voltage technician or just starting out, we're looking for candidates with strong work ethic who are eager to learn and grow. As a Cable Installation Technician, you'll assist in the setup and maintenance of structured cabling systems in commercial and industrial telecommunications and low voltage environments. You'll gain hands-on experience in telecommunications infrastructure, while benefiting from industry-leading training and professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
  • NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, DUTIES TRAINED ON THE JOB!
  • Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, coaxial)
  • Work with ladders, lifts, hand tools, and basic testing equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and cable run lists
  • Route cables through ceilings, walls, and other spaces
  • Label and organize cables and equipment for inspection and long-term maintenance
  • Assist with installation of telecommunications hardware including jacks, racks, patch panels, and enclosures
  • Follow all safety standards and participate in ongoing safety training
  • Travel to job sites across commercial, industrial, and government projects, with per diem when applicable
  • Take instruction and training from on-site lead tech or project manager

Qualifications & Requirements
  • OSHA 10-hour Certification (required)
  • Basic tools & equipment (tool pouch, screwdriver set, long nose pliers, diagonal cutters, utility knife, black electrical tape, safety glasses or goggles)
  • Open to entry-level applicants - training is provided!
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a willingness to learn
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass background screening (only if required)
  • Comfortable with travel and occasional overnight stays for projects (travel paid)

Work Schedule, Location
  • Full Time - Monday to Friday (some weekends included with paid overtime)
  • 8-10 hour shifts depending on project needs
  • Occasional travel may be required (with per diem provided)
  • Based in Texas (specific sites vary by project; travel may be required across regions)
