CAD MANAGER

ENTACT is currently seeking an experienced CAD Manager in the environmental remediation, geotechnical, and/or heavy civil construction industry. This position will serve as a key function and work closely with engineers and project managers to design large-scale grading plans, shoring and excavation plans, and deep soil mixing plans. Responsibilities involve generating CADD plans on various assigned projects of moderate- to larger-scale, scope, and/or complexity. You will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative group of professionals, working on exciting and meaningful projects across many different market sectors.
- Work collaboratively with design engineers to create design level drawings sets for design build projects consisting of large-scale grading, in-situ solidification, shoring designs, and cap and consolidation designs.
- Work collaboratively with proposal teams to evaluate CADD files to prepare project take offs and quantity evaluations.
- Develop and maintain a database of CADD standards to be utilized by the company.
- Provides CADD support to field engineers and project managers for environmental remediation and geotechnical construction projects.
- Compile and analyze data from the physical work site, surveys, blueprints, schematics, data, verbal or written specifications, technical drawings, rough sketches, diagrams, and other matrices to support drafting activities for single, multi-phase, or multi-site project work.
- Use 3D (CADD) software and work closely with operations associates to resolve design details or discrepancies, and to prepare drawings which require a high degree of precision on projects of moderate complexity and/or scope.
- Work with cross-functional teams in executing project work.
- Assure plans adhere to city code, state and federal regulations.
- Engage in occasional contact with client and contractor personnel to schedule and coordinate project drafting support review.
- Provide guidance and training to entry-level engineers.
- Remain current in latest drafting support knowledge, techniques, and practices.
- Capable of becoming familiar with local, state, and federal land use permitting.
- Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D design skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Prior experience working in fast-paced, deadline driven environments
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in closely related discipline is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in site/civil design or environmental remediation experience
- Professionalism and ethical conduct in building relationships with senior management and other colleagues, vendors, subcontractors and clients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, and balance multiple projects at once
- Team-player with strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to clients
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
- Travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements

The job is primarily performed indoors in a traditional office setting.

- When on project sites or if performing some types of work activity wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, earplugs, protective eyewear, gloves, hard hat, steel-toed work boots, and high visibility safety apparel.
- Work requires the ability to hear normal conversation, see near objects, and speak clearly.

- No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 25 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects may be required.
