This position plays a vital role in our construction logistics, ensuring the timely and secure transport of materials and equipment. Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure truck safety and readiness.
Operate vehicles in accordance with state/local driving regulations and company policies.
Maintain all necessary vehicle documentation, inspections, and registrations.
Secure loads properly and ensure all debris is cleared before transporting materials.
Accurately complete DOT-required paperwork and daily logs.
Assist with resolving customer concerns or relaying them to appropriate personnel.
Represent the company professionally while transporting equipment and materials to and from job sites.
Follow safety protocols and report hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
Technical or vocational training in vehicle operation preferred.
Licensing
Must possess a valid Texas Class A or B CDL license.
Must maintain a clean driving record.
Skills & Abilities
Dependable, team-oriented individual with a positive attitude.
Strong verbal communication and documentation skills.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Frequent use of hands for machine operation and paperwork.
Physical effort required; must handle objects over 20 lbs regularly.
Exposure to occupational risks such as minor cuts, burns, or similar hazards.
Work in environments with dirt, noise, odors, and weather extremes.
