Job Summary
The Civil Engineer will be based in Orlando, FL and will ideally have a background in infrastructure and a Professional Engineer (PE) license. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and implementation of various infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage project timelines and budgets, and ensure the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities
  • Perform civil design using knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Work with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer/designer.
  • Perform field work as directed by a senior engineer/designer.
  • Assist with engineering duties on projects of various complexity. 
  • Assist with collecting data and gathering information to support design decisions. 
  • Assist in basic interpretation and verifying compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices.
  • Construct models to identify project specifications and meet related needs by performing routing aspects of engineering assignments.

Qualifications
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with civil engineering software such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, GEOPAK, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, InRoads, MicroStation, OpenRoads, Primavera P6, and/or Revit.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must complete a pre-employment screening; ICE is a drug-free workplace.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field of study required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position predominantly involves up to 8 hours per day at a computer workstation, with occasional standing and walking. The employee may occasionally lift lightweight office supplies and materials, typically not exceeding 20 pounds. The office environment is indoors, characterized by controlled temperatures and minimal exposure to adverse conditions. Employees must have the ability to visually discern and differentiate details and colors of objects, and proficiency in recognizing sound, tone, and pitch. Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary. The role demands adaptability to interruptions and changes in workflow, as well as the capacity to sit for extended periods.
 
Expected Hours of Work
The ICE offices are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, allowing an unpaid hour for lunch daily. Work schedules may vary according to the project schedule. This position is approved for hybrid work.
