We are seeking a CMT Field Technician 1 to join our Idaho Falls/Pocatello, ID team! Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Follow all applicable codes and standards.
Obtain representative samples of construction materials.
Review project plans and specifications to understand requirements.
Perform inspections for rebar, epoxy, concrete, masonry, asphalt, and other materials.
Assist in the laboratory with additional testing of construction materials.
Provide clean and accurate reports, submitted before leaving the job site.
Track time and supplies used for each project.
Candidates must be able to complete and submit field reports accurately.
Record training hours using the provided documentation.
Return phone calls and emails within a reasonable period.
Maintain a professional image, both personally and for Atlas property.
Complete timecards and expense reports at the end of each shift.
Assist with workloads in Pocatello, Idaho Falls, and surrounding areas.
Arrive prepared to work in various environmental conditions.
Applicants should be able to return phone calls and emails within a reasonable time frame.
Timecards and expenses must be tracked and submitted daily.
Help maintain the assigned company truck in good condition.
Minimum requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in 1 or more phases of construction.
A valid driver�s license, a clean driving record, and proof of insurance.
Professional work ethic, willingness to learn, and attention to detail are essential.
Applicants must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be able to read and follow procedures.
The ability to work cooperatively and courteously with the public, contractors, supervisors, and other department staff is required.
Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and comply with random testing after hire.
Technical requirements:
Candidates will be required to pursue relevant certifications such as ACI, ICC, and WAQTC Testing Technician within 60 days of employment.
