CNC Lathe Operator

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking experienced CNC Lathe Operators for an immediate start in Pinellas Park, FL!

TEMP TO PERM OPPORTUNITY!

PAY: $23-25 /hour (Based on Experience)

HOURS: 40+

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

START DATE: ASAP

DURATION: Temp to Perm

CNC Lathe Operator Job Duties:

• Create and optimize programs for CNC Lathes.
• Sets up and operates CNC Lathes.
• Occasionally operates other Machine Shop equipment.
• Performs quality inspection of parts manufactured.
• Optimize programming strategies to improve quality and increase productivity.
• Assembly of parts manufactured, i.e., bearings.
• Maintains clear record and documentation of programs.
• Performs preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Assist and train other employees.

QUALIFICATIONS OF CNC Lathe Operator:

• 5+ years of proven experience programming, setting-up and operating a CNC Lathe
• Ability to set-up, operate and troubleshoot CNC equipment.
• Deep understanding of turning operations, technical blueprints, and 3D models.
• Proficiency in G-code programming.
• Ability to program in Fusion 360.
• Experience defining and designing holding fixtures and inspection instruments such as go-no go gauge.
• Have knowledge and experience in cutting tool selection and defining optimal cutting conditions.
• Must be proficient in metric system.
• Excellent communications skills and teamwork oriented.
• Initiative-taking and willingness to learn.
• High ethical/quality standards.
• Able to execute tasks in a very dynamic and ever-changing environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse workforce.
• Microsoft Office Applications – Excel and Outlook.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CNC Lathe Operator

• Ability to stand for extended periods – 8 hours min
• Read Tape Measure
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) unassisted if needed
• Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions in small openings, and climbing hand over hand
• Work performed in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noise

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Must have reliable transportation to the job site
• Pre-employment background check is required
