Job Description
The perfect fit for this position requires previous experience and the ability to manage all aspects of overseeing commercial construction projects. We are looking for a smart working individual with strong determination, who takes pride in their work and is always looking for ways to improve. Attention to detail and knowledge of all permits, procurement, vendor and sub-contractor oversight, construction schedules, quality control steps and end finishes is required. Our regional focus means significantly less travel, allowing for greater work-life balance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Commercial Project Management experience: 3-5+ years (Preferred)
- Ability to be self-direct and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strength/Experience in problem solving and conflict resolution
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, Procore and Microsoft Project (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Occasional business travel required to visit job sites
- Understanding of project management principles & budget management
Project Manager Responsibilities
- Create and manage project budgets for all assigned projects
- Developing pre-construction RFP packages
- Conducting project meetings and setting milestones and formulating owners’ reports
- Establishing job processes (RFI's, Submittals etc.)
- Performing project scheduling; ensuring project quality control and establishing overall project logistics
- Leads the project team in establishing expectations, providing information to subs, and maintaining quality and cost effectiveness in the overview of all the projects
- Comprehension of construction drawings
- Leads with managing the project closeout process
- Prepares weekly project updates
