We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects in the San Antonio area. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in managing complex construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage site logistics, including mobilization, signage, and security measures.
  • Oversee material management, ensuring efficient receiving, staging, and delivery to maximize productivity.
  • Establish and maintain engineering controls to ensure project accuracy.
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and ensure effective coordination and utilization of site resources.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards including SWPP, environmental controls, and pollution management.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to ensure timely material delivery and subcontractor installations.
  • Identify and address underperformance among subcontractors and team members promptly.
  • Manage inspections and site visits from third-party inspectors, owners, and the design team.
  • Complete all project punch lists efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least four years of related experience or training.
  • 10+ years of experience as a project superintendent in commercial public construction.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and legal documents.
  • Skilled in creating and managing CPM schedules.
  • Capable of performing quantity take-offs and preparing accurate manpower and material estimates.
  • Thorough understanding of construction means, methods, and structural shop drawings.
  • Experience with MEP systems and coordination.
  • Advanced organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a diverse team effectively.
