Commercial Drywall Finisher

RQ Construction continues to expand its presence as a major contractor in both the commercial and government construction sectors along the East Coast. With multiple active projects across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions, we are currently hiring full-time Commercial Drywall Finishers to support our work at Kings Bay Naval Base, Georgia and the surrounding areas.

The Commercial Drywall Finisher is responsible for completing drywall surfaces on commercial construction projects to a high-quality standard. This includes applying joint compound, smoothing seams, sanding surfaces, and preparing walls and ceilings for final finishes such as paint or coatings. Work must be completed using proper tools and equipment while following all required safety procedures and aligning with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

All work will be performed on a military installation and is compensated in accordance with Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements.

• Pay Range: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience (or equivalent) in commercial drywall finishing and installation within the construction industry
• Experience on government, military, or large-scale commercial projects is preferred
• Preferred Training and Certificates (training can be provided)
  • Trenching and shoring safety training
  • Fall protection certification
  • Confined space training
  • OSHA 10-hour certification
