Walker White Mechanical, a trusted name in commercial mechanical construction across the Midlands, is seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Foreman to join our growing team in Columbia, SC. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, team development, and delivering projects on time and to spec.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise plumbing crews on commercial construction projects
- Coordinate daily work activities, manpower, materials, and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Ensure all work complies with code requirements and company standards
- Work closely with project managers, general contractors, and other trades
- Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, timesheets, and material logs
- Provide on‑the‑job training and mentorship to apprentices and plumbers
- Promote a safe jobsite and enforce company safety policies
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of commercial plumbing experience
- 2+ years of foreman or lead experience preferred
- Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems, installation, and layout
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and coordinate with multiple trades
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening
