Job Summary
The Laborer Non Union performs essential manual labor tasks to support construction projects, ensuring sites are clean, safe, and operations run efficiently.
Job Responsibilities
* Perform general labor duties such as digging, lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading materials.
* Assist skilled tradespersons (e.g., carpenters, masons, plumbers) as directed.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping, debris removal, and waste disposal.
* Operate small hand and power tools safely and efficiently (e.g., shovels, rakes, brooms, tampers, grinders).
* Erect and dismantle temporary structures, scaffolding, and barricades.
* Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction equipment and tools.
* Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Spot for heavy equipment operators to ensure safe movement on site.
* Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or project managers.
Job Qualifications
* Previous experience in a construction or manual labor role preferred but not required.
* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, and climbing.
* Strong work ethic and reliability.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions.
* Understanding and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
* Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
* Basic understanding of construction site operations is a plus.
* Valid driver's license preferred.
