We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Paralegal to join the Community Association team. The ideal candidate will excel in a professional and team-oriented environment. The role requires excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Demand Letters
  • Annual Meeting Notice packages
  • Special Meeting Notice packages
  • Prepare statutory pre-suit mediation demand letters
  • Board Meeting Notices and correspondence to client
  • Board Resolutions (electronic voting, remote participation, etc.) and correspondence to client
  • Certificates of Amendment and correspondence to client
  • Document Rewrite Projects
  • Record documents via Simplifile, then prepare transmittal letter to client.
  • Prepare Amendments and Notice package and Cover Letter
  • Recall packages
  • Special Assessment packages
  • Association Q & A Sheets
  • ATIDS orders such as title searches and ordering of governing documents
  • Oversee and check for accuracy of Condominium Documents- (i.e., Declaration, Articles of Incorporation, By-Laws, Certificate of Amendments; Index/Tabs for Amendments and all documents for Homeowner Associations)
  • Maintain the MRTA (Marketable Records Title Act) log, follow-ups for HOA and POA clients, prepare Notice to Preserve documents, prepare revitalization packages,

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to organize files and manage workflow efficiently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required; Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years related experience in a law firm or corporate legal department environment required.
