Job Description Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for effective day-to-day operations for projects tasks.
Reporting Relationships
The Project Manager reports to the General Manager.
Authority
The Project Manager has the authority to supervise any person directly reporting to him/her.
Requirements:
Education
Required: High School Education
Preferred: Degree in Construction
Experience
A minimum of two years’ experience in the field of concrete construction as a Project Manager or 4 years’ experience as Project Manager Assistant.
Skill, Knowledge and Abilities
Using analytical and observation skills, demonstrate the ability to set a course or direction, which fulfills the vision and expectations as designed. Possess the ability to read blueprints, be able to drive a vehicle and operate hand power tools. Know how to work with technology: phones, computers, & software for office productions. Be able to listen and understand instruction and be able to implement that instruction as necessary.

Body Positions
Long periods walking, standing and/or sitting.
Body Movements
Ability to climb, stoop, kneel or crawl over uneven ground, carry fifty (50) pounds, operate vibrating/hopping equipment such as a wacker, use of complete body, including but not limited to hands, arms, feet, legs, eyes, ears, and voice.
Body Senses
Ability to obtain information, listening, talking, seeing.
Mental
Requires general business math skills. Language requirements are reading, writing, spelling and the ability to communicate clearly. Bilingual a plus. Maintain calm under pressure.
Working Conditions
Primarily indoor and outdoor activity during all seasons, some office environment. Environment also includes driving and frequent work around motor vehicles.
Essential Functions
The basic function of the Project Manager is to provide the necessary planning, organization, direction, coordination, and control to meet the schedule, project requirements/needs, and budget for all assigned concrete contracts.
The Project Manager must also provide ongoing support and expertise to all management & field personnel, assisting them in establishing goals, objectives, policies and procedures for all revenue dependent systems in the company.
Responsibilities
- Ensure to maintain that a positive image of the company to customers, employees, and the public.
- Be a part of Pre-Construction meetings.
- Getting along with all office staff, general contractors and lead employees.
- Attention to quality and safety in all work you are involved in is of the upmost importance.
- Utilize a quality control (QC) checklist to go out and QC panels with all information to complete final task.
- Insure that concrete foremen, finishers, apprentices and helpers function productively and efficiently as an organization by providing training as necessary.
- Ensure the operation of all tools and/or equipment with caution and care in a manner to obtain maximum usefulness and to extend the lifetime of the tools and/or equipment.
- Maintain the confidentiality of information by employees, coworkers, and customers.
- Report to General Manager updates on your work daily at a minimum.

Duties
- Understand plans and specs for projects.
- Review panel book with plans and cross-reference all information between start of the job to end of the job for changes.
- Review plans and establish take-off on materials, lumber, lead items (etc.).
- Communicate clearly with Field Supervisor and Foreman to make sure they have all materials and critical tasks ahead of the week.
- Schedule deliveries with Tedesco Pacific driver for moving job-to-job materials.
- Review and submit material submittals to GC’s. Follow-up to confirm approved submittals.
- Keep track / log all correspondence for project documentation.
- Schedule work accordingly, to make sure all project needs are met to maintain safety, scheduling, and quality at all times.
- Maintain procedures to ensure that the quality and safety at concrete installations conforms to company standards.
- Maintain inventory control systems to ensure care and control of all materials.
- Ensure that all customer correspondence requests / requirements have been satisfactorily resolved.
