As an Account Executive in APEX Group’s construction cleaning division, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and nurturing relationships with key clients in the commercial construction industry. This role works in tandem with our commercial flooring team, cross-selling services to the same base of customers. You will be responsible for promoting and selling our comprehensive construction cleaning services to Architects, Designers, General Contractors, and Property Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Business Development:
- Conduct proactive sales calls to existing and potential clients.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction market.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Present compelling value propositions to clients, highlighting the benefits of our construction cleaning services.
- Market Expertise:
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the construction industry, including trends, market dynamics, and competitor offerings.
- Stay informed about the latest construction technologies and best practices.
- Project Management:
- Prepare accurate and competitive project budgets and estimates.
- Collaborate with clients to identify and implement cost-saving solutions through value engineering.
- Oversee the successful execution of construction cleaning projects, from initial planning to final completion.
- Coordinate with internal teams (operations, project management) to ensure seamless project delivery. This entails working closely with our operations team.
Job Description:
- Compile a list of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
- Work with general contractors, architects, designers, building owners to find construction cleaning options that fit their budget.
- Cultivate relationships with general contractors, end users, and architects that have used our services.
- Give presentations to general contractors, architects and end users to educate them on the construction cleaning industry and how APEX can be a benefit to them on their projects.
- Submit pricing quotes to existing, new, or potential clients.
- Work with President and the VP of Construction Cleaning to ensure Contracts from Customers are accurate and aligned with estimate/proposal inclusions/exclusions.
- Work with the project team to coordinate RFI's & submittals and coordinate cleaning labor with the Customer
- Follow through by visiting job sites during project commencement to ensure quality control and timely service.
- Create and submit cost proposals for changes in work during the commencement of the project
- Manage projects in conjunction with the project coordinator or field supervisor.
- Help solve problems and ensure that the jobs are cleaned properly.
- Work with the project team to ensure change orders, billings and close-out documentation are submitted regularly and kept current.
Job Requirements:
- Proven track record of success in sales and business development within the construction industry (preferred).
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
