Description:
Supervise and monitor construction contractors and/or Company assigned personnel to ensure that work is being performed productively, yet safely, and per Company specifications and project documents. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Review engineering project documents for constructability and maintainability. Coordinate construction kickoff meetings and other construction meetings as necessary.
Support Project Engineer in development of execution plans for all field activities through startup.
Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance for an organized, controlled, and complete project startup and turnover.
Approve contractor time sheets, rental log, and material requisitions.
Organize and coordinate the field activities as necessary to maintain construction schedule.
Control and minimize field change orders.
Ensure procedural compliance.
Review, approve, and maintain field change order requests and other required contractor documentation.
Ensure correctness of any field materials and/or procedures being used.
Ensure use of good engineering practices throughout construction phase including control and coordination of field QC activities.
Establish and supervise punch list procedures and schedule including the coordination of the Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR).
Generate and issue Daily and Weekly Construction Tracking reports for Management
Experience
At least 8 to 10 years in Construction Management with a minimum of 5 in a refinery or heavy industrial plant environment.
Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Experience with SAP and scheduling software (P6).
