Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Construction Field Inspector III - Transportation to be based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Perform on-site observation and documentation of construction activities
  • Ability to read construction plans and specifications
  • Responsible for monitoring conformance to specification and code through on-site inspection
  • Monitor construction practices to assure high quality products for our clients
  • Tracking on-site personnel, equipment, and completed bid items
  • Testing and observation of fresh concrete and reinforcing steel placement
  • Testing and observation of soils placement and soils density testing
  • Acquiring and delivering construction materials samples for laboratory testing
  • Ability to self-manage and work independently or with a team
  • Provide on the job training to new employees
  • Dedication to maintaining a safe work environment

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma + 4 Years of Relevant Experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Concrete Testing Certification (CTT or ACI)
  • Construction Inspection Training Program II (CITP II or IQP equivalent)
  • ICC reinforcing steel and/or soils Special Inspector Certified
  • Soil Sampling Reduction and Density Testing Technician (SRDTT Certification)
  • Experience with UDOT Construction Projects
