Construction Helper (Entry Level)

Under direct supervision, responsible for assisting skilled trades workers on construction-related projects. Provides semi-skilled support in the performance of a variety of construction and installation tasks within the assigned craft area at an apprentice level.

1. Assists skilled trade workers with routine installations, construction tasks, and preparation of work areas.
2. Assists trade personnel in tasks such as insulating ductwork, prepping surfaces for paint, and general construction site duties.
3. Performs site cleanup and organizes tools, materials, and debris as directed.
4. Performs area housekeeping.
5. Performs similar semi-skilled duties within the assigned craft area (excluding electrical and plumbing) and trains for higher level positions.
6. Performs all other duties as assigned.

• Possesses mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn construction techniques, equipment use, and job site procedures.
• Ability to perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Self-motivated and directed; ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or GED is required.

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Valid TX Driver's License is required - must have a clear driving record.
