Construction Inspector

About the Role:

Lumos & Associates is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Inspector to independently conduct inspections and field testing on public works construction projects. This position is perfect for those who enjoy a dynamic and rewarding role in construction oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections and field tests as per project plans and specifications.
• Complete daily field inspection/testing reports.
• Interpret project plans and specifications, working autonomously to ensure compliance.
• Uphold safety standards and promptly report safety concerns or required repairs to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We Are Looking For:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction inspection or a blend of education, experience, and/or relevant certifications.
• Required Certifications:
  • ACI – Field Technician Grade I
  • NAQTC – Sampling/Density
  • OSHA – 10
  • Nuke Gauge Operator
• Special Inspector Specific Preferred Certifications:
  • ICC – Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
  • ATSSA – Traffic Control Supervisor
• Ability to work the hours necessary, including overtime, to meet project deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (3 or fewer demerit points).
