Job Description
Responsible for providing daily inspection of the work of trade contractors on mid-size and large-scale projects to ensure compliance with appropriate codes, laws and standards of construction.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Architecture or Construction Engineering/Management is preferred. Prefer 5+ years’ experience in Construction Management. Prefer 5+ years’ experience performing construction inspections for city, state or federal agencies. Prefer knowledge of International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, National Electric Code and Uniform Plumbing Code for building construction contracts. Prefer knowledge of Texas State University construction and design standards. Prefer knowledge of National Fire Protection Association Life Safety Code. Prefer knowledge of Texas Accessibility Standards and Americans with Disabilities Act. Prefer knowledge of OSHA Standards.
