Construction Laborer

Construction Laborer - CREIGHTON, NE - Full-time position with exceptional benefits package!

Great Plains Underground Construction, based in Creighton, Nebraska, is seeking a Construction Laborer to install and replace communication and utility infrastructure according to staking sheets and maps. 

Overnight weekly travel is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install a diverse selection of communication and utility infrastructure in the field for communication and utility companies 
• Operate construction equipment and hand tools per manufacturer's recommendations, including trenchers, backhoes, skid loaders, tractors, and trucks 
• Dig with hand tools and lift heavy loads (100 to 130 lbs) frequently during a work shift 
• Locate underground utilities safely both manually and electronically 
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures outlined in the GPUC Employee Handbook and Safety Manual 

Requirements:

• Ability to operate trenchers, backhoes, skid loaders, tractors, and trucks competently and efficiently 
• Ability to lift 100 to 130 pounds frequently 
• Valid driver's license required
• Overtime and weekly travel required; overnight travel expenses and meals paid
