Schedule: Standard Shift (8-5), 40 hours/week
Overview
Our client is a leading renewable energy company seeking an experienced Construction Manager - Level 4 Lead to oversee utility-scale solar project construction in Kaufman, TX. This is a critical leadership role requiring 15+ years of construction management experience, with direct responsibility for managing solar projects from Notice-to-Proceed through Commercial Operation Date.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee on-site construction of utility-scale solar projects from start to finish
- Serve as primary point-of-contact for EPC contractors and subcontractors
- Ensure contractor compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements
- Monitor and enforce contractual obligations throughout project lifecycle
- Lead daily construction coordination meetings and progress reviews
- Manage project documentation, reporting, and communication with stakeholders
- Implement and maintain safety protocols and quality control measures
- Coordinate with engineering, permitting, and operations teams
- Oversee budget tracking and cost control initiatives
- Resolve construction issues and facilitate problem-solving activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- 15+ years of construction management experience, preferably in renewable energy/solar
- Proven track record managing large-scale construction projects ($50M+)
- Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and OSHA requirements
- Experience with EPC contract management and contractor oversight
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in project management software and construction scheduling tools
- Ability to work in outdoor construction environments
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Professional certifications (PMP, CCM) preferred
