Construction Material Testing Technician

TSIT Engineering & Consulting is a geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing firm in North Texas. Since 1993, we have successfully completed thousands of projects throughout the state of Texas and serviced private and public clients across multiple industries.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct field testing on a variety of construction materials, including concrete, soil, and asphalt, in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
• Accurately record test results, observations, and any deviations from expected outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to communicate test results and address any quality-related issues.
• Ensure that all testing equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and operated in compliance with safety standards.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
• Provide support for additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• ACI Concrete Field Grade 1 and/or SB 102 certification is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with colleagues and clients.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing testing procedures and recording data.
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to accommodate weekend and evening work schedules as project demands dictate.
