Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Cost Controls 

  • Prepare daily and weekly production control reports, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Track and analyze project costs and revenue, forecasting final financial outcomes to keep projects on budget.
  • Assist in creating project budgets and monthly forecasts using company-supported cost control software.
  • Follow company processes to document, track, and report costs on assigned projects, collaborating with project management and project controls teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Support the integration of company systems to monitor and control project costs, and review job cost reports against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist with project close-out by validating final revenue before submitting the final bill.
  • Audit accounting systems to ensure accuracy across both company and owner systems.
  • Support financial audits for assigned projects.
  • Generate, analyze, and submit monthly financial reports for project tracking and management.

Estimating

  • Quantity takeoffs
  • Pricing of certain components of an estimate
  • Solicitation of subcontractor and vendor bid proposals
  • Evaluation of subcontractor and vendor bids
  • Assist in site visits

Construction Operations

  • Provide supervision and coordination of subcontractors
  • Assist superintendent with day to day activities such as materiel deliveries and coordination, equipment delivery and coordination
  • Assist superintendent in the development of Work Plans
  • Review daily timesheets to ensure accurate job cost data
  • Perform safety observations and ensure correction of hazardous conditions
  • Perform quality inspections of self-perform work and subcontractor work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications

Technical

  • Four year degree in technical discipline.
  • Read and interpret project drawings and specifications
  • Demonstrated collegiate-level computer skills, mathematics, communication skills, and technical writing, with an aptitude for mastering the additional skills required of the position
  • Basic understanding of engineering or construction principles
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
