WBW Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our expanding Georgetown office. This role involves overseeing the bid and estimating processes for civil construction projects. The Project Manager will handle various tasks, including clearing, dirt moving, utilities, streets, curbs and gutters, paving, and finalizing punch lists for acceptance by city authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract & Subcontract Administration: Manage and oversee all contract and subcontract agreements to ensure compliance and successful execution.
  • Submittal Preparation and Review: Prepare and review submittals to guarantee all project specifications are met.
  • Contract and Job Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
  • Job Performance Review: Conduct regular job performance reviews to assess progress and address any issues.
  • Material Procurement: Source and procure necessary materials, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Plan and Spec Review: Review plans and specifications to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
  • Monthly Billing and Forecasting: Prepare monthly billing statements and financial forecasts to track project costs and revenues.
  • Daily Communication: Maintain effective daily communication, both written and verbal, with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Job Site Visits and Reports: Conduct regular site visits and prepare comprehensive reports on project status and progress.
  • Quantity Tracking: Monitor and track quantities of materials and work completed to ensure accuracy and control costs.
  • Project Reporting: Generate detailed project reports to keep management and clients informed of progress and any issues.
  • Progress Meetings: Organize and lead regular progress meetings with team members and stakeholders to discuss project updates and address any concerns.
  • Problem Solving: Collaborate with superintendents, foremen, and city officials to identify and resolve project related issues promptly.



Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Science or Construction Management
  • Or 5+ years proven experience in project management within the construction industry, specifically in civil construction
  • Experience with HSCC Heavy Bid and Heavy Job software preferred
  • Past bid/estimating experience
  • TXDOT Project Management exposure preferred)
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean record
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, including clearing, dirt moving, utilities, streets, curbs and gutters, and paving
  • Excellent contract management skills and experience with subcontract administration
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing submittals and contract/job scheduling
  • Ability to conduct job performance reviews and handle material procurement efficiently
  • Expertise in plan and spec review and monthly billing/forecasting
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in conducting job site visits and preparing detailed reports
  • Proficient in quantity tracking and project reporting
  • Ability to lead progress meetings and solve problems collaboratively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project or similar project management software
  • Required Travel: 25%
