We are seeking a Structural/Civil Quality Control Specialist to join our Jacksonville, FL Operations Team. This position is primarily responsible for monitoring and supervising the joint-venture (JV)/sub-contractors' fabrication, construction, maintenance, and repair performances in the areas of structural and civil quality control, including evaluation of materials and procedures in accordance with applicable project specifications, RFP and contract documents. This is all to be done in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. This role is a key part of delivering high-quality, on-time projects for our valued clients - primarily within the Department of Defense sector.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • A BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Civil or Structural Engineering, or related field is the minimum formal education required for this position. However, a combination of equivalent work experience (minimum of 10 years combined experience in respective civil/structural discipline) and training in the field may be qualifying.
  • Ten or more years as a Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager for a civil or structural subcontractor or contractor required on similar size and type construction contracts.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Specialty inspection training and licenses/certs highly desired, including Secure Space Construction.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.) required.
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications required. Training can be provided.
  • Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management Certificate required. Training can be provided.
  • Army Corps of Engineers EM385‐1‐1 40 Hour Safety preferred.
