Your Role: Strategic, Operational, and People-Focused
As a Construction Services Operations Manager in Nashville, TN, you will lead and inspire a team of field, lab, and administrative staff while driving departmental growth and operational excellence. Your leadership will directly impact team performance, client relationships, and the overall success of construction services projects across the region.
What You'll Do:
Supervise Field and Laboratory Services Managers, professionals, and administrative staff to ensure productivity and alignment with performance goals
Manage department metrics such as revenue growth, staff utilization, billing, collections, and profitability
Partner with leadership and client development teams to identify, pursue, and secure new project opportunities
Oversee project management and delivery for key clients, ensuring on-time and on-budget results
Ensure compliance with the AASHTO Quality System and promote high standards across all operational areas
What We're Looking For:
A High School diploma or GED (a Bachelor's in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering or related field a plus)
A minimum of 6 years of experience in operational and/or project management, preferably within the A/E/C industry
A demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships, grow business opportunities, and increase backlog
A willingness to divide time between office and field environments to support team engagement
A positive, proven leadership approach and knowledge of business metrics, client development, safety, HR policies, and risk management
What to Expect:
With the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
Outdoor, hands-on work in all weather conditions
Walking over rough and uneven terrain and standing for up to 12 hours a day
Lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs. of equipment and samples
Maneuvering field tools and equipment on active construction sites
