Job Title: Bond Construction Coordinator

Primary Purpose:
Assist Director of Construction in managing new construction projects as part of the bond process and working to ensure they meet the needs and budget of the school district. Coordinate and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders in the process of each project working to set project timelines, deadlines and documentation. Collect, track, and analyze data pertinent to projects and assisting in their successful completion.
*This positions is funded through bond funding and contingent upon available bond funding.*


Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Clear and valid Texas driver’s license

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of project planning and construction principles
Ability to use G-Suite and Microsoft Office tools
Ability to analyze and organize complex data
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Ability to conduct on-site inspections of all district facilities
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and initiatives at once
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

 

Experience:
3 years project management experience
K-12 or Higher Ed experience preferred.


Major Responsibilities and Duties:
• Coordinate project development and construction progress meetings.
• Assist in maintaining construction progress schedules.
• Participate in on-site inspection of construction projects to ensure conformance with construction documents, programs, and needs.
• Track warranty expiration dates and make final warranty check prior to end of warranty periods. Oversee warranty correction work.
• Participate in the prequalification or approval process for architects, engineers, and contractors.
• Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required including coordinating the storage and handling of construction documents.
• Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Assist with the evaluation of formal bids and provide input into recommendations for the awarding of contracts for school board approval.
• Maintain safety standards in conformance with federal, state, and insurance regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
