What You Will Do:

  • Complete job cost accounting duties for assigned projects.
  • Prepare construction monthly draws.
  • Complete monthly general ledger account analysis and loan reconciliation.
  • Complete other detailed accounting analyses as requested.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies, as needed.
  • Complete monthly filing and dissemination of accounting documents.
  • Assist with other Accountant duties as needed
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, practices, work procedures and instructions.
  • Make recommendations and modifications regarding office performance, business needs, etc. 
  • Any other tasks assigned or directed.

What You Will Need To Succeed:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • 2-3 years prior experience in accounting, preferably in construction or real estate development field.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Accurate and detail oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and relate effectively, productively, and positively with other Associates.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn Construction accounting processes, including use of any industry specific software.
  • Typing and data entry skills.
  • Ability to use a 10-key calculator accurately by touch.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and accounting systems, including job cost systems.
  • Ability to have flexibility with working schedule based on business and deadline needs.
  • Ability to work a schedule during normal work hours and that may be other than Monday-Friday, 8-5. Work in excess of 40 hours per week is likely. 
  • Consistent, regular and in person attendance during regular working hours at the workplace is required.
