The Cost Analyst supports McKissack and McKissack project and program teams by delivering accuratetimely cost analysis across assigned projects. This role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis to protect financial performance and support informed decision making. The ideal candidate is detail focused, disciplined, and comfortable working across multiple projects in fast paced environments. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide cost analysis support from project planning through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, cost estimates, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Track actual costs against approved budgets and identify variances early.
  • Prepare clear cost reports for project teams and executive leadership.
  • Support change order pricing and cost impact evaluations.
  • Review contracts, schedules, and scopes to identify cost risk.
  • Validate vendor pricing, invoices, and pay applications.
  • Maintain cost coding structures and reporting standards.
  • Partner with project managers to strengthen cost controls and forecasting accuracy.
  • Support audits, financial reviews, and client reporting requirements.

Requirements:

  • 3 plus years of experience in cost analysis, project controls, or financial analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field .
  • Experience supporting construction or capital improvement projects preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or project cost platforms such as Procore, e Builder, or similar tools.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present cost data clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. 

Compensation:

Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000/yearly (dependent on years of experience, competency, travel requirements)
