Operating under detailed instructions and review, the purpose of this position is to provide the essential technical knowledge and perform the work listed. This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. The purpose of this position is to work on design and perform 3D layout of moderate scope to support the Design Area Lead or Lead.
• Participate in model reviews using 3D review platform and create 3D models of moderate
complexity
• Apply project drawing standards to design drawings and 3D layout
• Prepare 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings of moderate complexity
• Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline
documents for all phases of projects
• Develop estimates,schedules, progressreports, and key quantitiestracking reports
• Incorporate health,safety, and environmental factorsin design
• Review drawings, and vendor equipment documentation of basic to moderate complexity within
the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively
seek discrepancy resolution
• Perform bulk materialtake-off analysis and tabulations
• Deliver quality work, and adhere to the Operating System Requirements (OSR)
• Execute project work in accordance with approved Activity Plans
• Provide close interface with, and promote the understanding of other discipline functions
• Engage Fluor’s global community, promoting a OneFluor mindset
• Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
• Participate in people development through mentoring of less experienced Designers
• Contribute to and promote the use of Fluor’s knowledge management portals and communities
• Support Functional Process Lead and Department Manager on initiatives
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and globalstandards
• Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed
• Adhere to and support Fluor’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
• Effectively develop and apply the Core Skillsto the job
• May need to travel to attend to businessrelated matters
• Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
• Other duties as assigned• Accredited two (2) year degree or global equivalent in technical field of study, or; A combination of education and directly related experience equal to six (6) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials
• Practical field experience
• Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programsUS Citizenship required to be considered
Advanced knowledge of: 2D and 3D design software and procedures; HexagonSmart
Review software; 3D modeling software (Hexagon Smart 3D, etc.); Basic knowledge of:
Boundary and Topographical surveys(civil); Procurement and construction aspects of
engineering; Intermediate experience with developing plan, sections and elevation
drawings of Concrete, Steel, Site preparation, drainage and roads and paving drawings.
