Lead/Manage all sales activities and personnel 
  • Develop and lead the plan to drive growth
  • Staffing, compensation
  • Market Strategies for Residential, Commercial, and Wholesale  
  • Oversee cross selling initiatives that align with strategic plan 
Maintain clear targets & goals for each salesperson 
  • Establish Revenue and margin goals and targets 
  • Establish clear team expectations, standards, and measures for response time, order processing time, and order processing quality 
  • Utilize Microsoft D365 to analyze data and generate reporting 
  • Track and analyze sales metrics and performance data to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies. 
  • Work with the team to prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and forecasts for senior management. 
Maintain effective supplier management & purchasing practices 
  • Ensure competitive position with key products and services pricing 
  • Lead improvements to cost through effective price negotiations and mix of suppliers 
  • Participate on the Lumber Purchasing Team  
Develop the skills and effectiveness of the sales team - develop depth at key positions through cross training and upskilling 
  • Work with President to align sales support needs, activities and personnel 
  • Coordinate sales activities with operations leaders - procurement/inventory, yard and mill operations, dispatch 
Serve as member of the Leadership Team 
  • Work with the team in a collaborative and team-oriented manner 
  • Role model the company values
  • Lead Deployment of the Strategic Plan & Strategic initiatives as assigned 
  • Represent the company in Industry trade associations – share and delegate duties to the sales team
