Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Responsible for project management and coordination, pre-engineering, inspection and related design and justification of gas distribution and transmission systems and other construction related activities. Under the direction of management, coordinates the construction of approved facilities. Provides subject-matter expertise to Engineering, Environmental, Safety, Energy Services, Construction Services, local municipalities, and consultants. Assists in the resolution of emergency response.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Must possess a working knowledge of gas utility operations at a level normally acquired through a two-year degree with strong technical emphasis; and
  • Two years related energy industry experience.
OTHER REQUIRMENTS
  • Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
  • Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
  • Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • May be required to submit to periodic background checks if position requires access to security sensitive business locations and/or systems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Ensures the timely completion of pre-engineering and related engineering design tasks for region management.
  • Assists with utility project management, oversight, scheduling and coordination of gas construction and maintenance projects,
    the coordination of construction teams and meeting project deadlines in the most efficient and cost-effective manner within
    schedule.
  • Completes assigned project justifications and contributes subject-matter expertise towards the justification of gas distribution
    and transmission system projects and other construction related activities
  • As assigned by management, manages the completion of construction authorizations, project designing and estimating,
    system workflows, locates, and required documentation relating to construction and maintenance of projects and equipment.
  • Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned. 

Wage: $42.75 per hour

1st 12 months --- 80%

2nd 12 months --- 90%

Thereafter ------- 100%
