Dump Truck Driver – Hard Surface Restoration

Join Primoris Distribution Services (PDS) as a Dump Truck Driver – Hard Surface Restoration! In this role, you will safely operate dump trucks and support restoration crews on utility and construction projects throughout the Gainesville, GA area. This position primarily supports roadway, asphalt, concrete, and site restoration operations related to underground utility work.

This role offers steady work with an average of 50–60 hours per week and no travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate dump trucks and transport materials to and from job sites
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic equipment maintenance checks
• Support hard surface restoration crews with asphalt, concrete, grading, and cleanup activities
• Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations
• Work around active construction zones, underground utilities, and heavy equipment
• Assist crews as needed to complete restoration projects safely and efficiently
• Maintain communication with supervisors and crew members throughout the workday
• Complete required paperwork, inspections, and reports accurately and timely

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Current DOT medical card required
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to work 50–60 hours per week, including overtime as needed
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift/carry up to 75 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and climb throughout the workday
• Must be safety-focused and dependable

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous dump truck driving experience
• Concrete and asphalt restoration experience preferred, but not required
• Utility construction or roadway construction experience is a plus
