Electrical Engineer - Primoris Design & Construction

Primoris Design & Construction is seeking a junior-level Electrical Engineer to join our growing in-house engineering team in Tyler, Texas. This person should be eager to learn and grow and have a basic (or more advanced) knowledge of electrical engineering and construction principles.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Review vendor drawings
• Participate in development of project schedule, scope, budget staffing planning and construction planning
• Apply expert knowledge of commonly used electrical concepts, practices, codes and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry
• Apply knowledge and experience to complex projects, find non-standard design solutions
• Build effective relationships with existing clients, customers and contractors and develop new business opportunities
• Ensure customer satisfaction goals and expectations are met
• Prepare and present project budgets and cost estimates
• Report project performance
• Communicate effectively with others
• Comply with company and site safety policies
• Complete other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, etc)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills, ability to work methodically and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Strong attention to detail, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills
• Willingness/ability to travel if/when necessary
